In this full day session you'll learn to efficiently create accessible PDF documents and forms with InDesign, and complete, then validate their accessibility with Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Learning outcomes

In this course you will learn how to optimise your InDesign publication for accessibility including:

  • Introduction to accessibility – who benefits and how
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) – what you need to know
  • Use of colour
  • Document setup and layout
  • Headings and text emphasis
  • Alternatives for raster and vector artwork
  • Managing content sequence
  • Interactive forms and more.

You'll learn to retain all accessibility elements in your PDF export, then use Acrobat Pro to:

  • Finalise PDF accessibility
  • Test and verify compliance.

Prior knowledge

Attendees for this course are likely to be Designers with experience using Adobe InDesign.
